This project focuses on creating a mind mapping tool to simplify the understanding and process of funeral management (pengurusan jenazah) in accordance with Islamic teachings. The purpose of the mind map is to provide a clear, structured, and visual representation of each step, making it easier for students, educators, and the general community to learn and apply the knowledge.
The mind map covers the following key areas:
- Preparation – steps taken after the passing, such as confirming death, preparing the body, and setting up the area.
- Ghusl (Washing the body) – guidelines on who should perform it, required materials, and the proper Islamic procedure.
- Kafan (Shrouding) – how to wrap the body with the shroud, rules for men and women, and significance of simplicity.
- Salat al-Janazah (Funeral prayer) – structure, number of takbir, supplications, and collective aspects of the prayer.
- Burial – Islamic requirements for the grave, proper positioning of the body, and etiquette at the cemetery.
- Post-burial etiquette – reminders for the family and community, including du’a, patience, and support.
By transforming these steps into a mind map format, the project enables:
- Visual learning – presenting a complex process in a simple, memorable, and interconnected way.
- Educational use – suitable for Islamic studies classes at junior high school level (Grade 9), community training, or workshops.
- Practical reference – a quick guide for individuals who may be responsible for performing funeral management in their communities.
This project not only strengthens understanding of religious obligations but also promotes empathy, preparedness, and responsibility within the Muslim community.
